My fountain pen is having ink flow problems, what can I do? We recommend cleaning the fountain pen regularly (ideally every one to two months) under running, clear, lukewarm water. Particularly if the ink has dried up through lack of use, when changing the ink colour or if the ink flow has reduced.
Faber-Castell offers the popular classic pencil Castell 9000 in 16 hardness grades. Soft pencils are preferably used in the artistic field. An ideal writing pencil (e.g. for use in the office) has a medium hardness ("HB"), a school pencil has hardness grade B. Faber-Castell uses the following designations: B = Black H = Hard HB = Hard Black
But I love this pen so much, I don't want to part with it for another. I tinkered with the nib for hours/days, which only ever resulted in it getting to roughly 90% functionality—and some extra damage. It's just not working right, and I am accepting my lack of expertise. Lol I heard they use a #5 nib. Some say it's a JOWO nib.
I would flush the pen a couple of times with soapy water and water to see if that fixes the problem. if it doesnt then I would look at the nib and see if theres misalignment on the nibs and if there is I would realign the tines. Finally if both do not work I would try smoothing with micromesh.
35 degrees for very long, or very heavy pens, is at the pit of the web of the thumb. And as said, let the pen rest where it feels comfortable.. (behind the big knuckle)forcing it to be at 45 degrees takes pressure and leads to the Death Grip. Look up Tripod grip. This is not the Tripod grip, but the Forefinger Up.
