It has no way of knowing that you performed the service. The service reset is triggered by mileage & time. It doen't "test" the quality of the oil. If you have any BMW software like BimmerLink (there's others, too If so, BMW will tell you the transmission fluid is lifetime. Other schools of thought say change the fluid and filter every 60K miles. If you search this website for "transmission fluid" (all forums, not just the F25 subforum) you will find many discussions on the subject.
